Icare Lyon Headboard and Footboard

The Lyon is the contemporary board in the Icare range: clean vertical upholstered panels that give the bed a designed look rather than a clinical one.

Why the boards matter

An adjustable bed with no headboard reads as hospital equipment. Add a board in a finish that matches the room and it reads as a bed. That single change is often what makes someone comfortable having it in the house. The boards also stop pillows sliding off the head end and stop the user sliding off during Trendelenburg positioning.

Choose headboard, footboard, or both

They are sold separately, so you can put a headboard on and leave the foot open, which many people prefer for transfers.

Before you order

Adding a headboard or footboard increases the overall bed length by roughly 1 to 2 in each. If the bed is going into a tight alcove, measure first.
