The extra long version of the Icare IC333, for anyone who has spent years with their feet hanging off the end of a standard care bed. It adds 12 in of static length at the foot end and comfortably suits users up to 85 in tall.

Head lift, knee break, height adjustment from 9 in to 26 in, Trendelenburg and reverse tilt, unlimited under-bed clearance, and eight heavy-duty castors with four lockable.

Why length matters more than people think

A tall person in a bed that is too short ends up sleeping with knees bent or feet pressed against the footboard, which is where pressure problems start. Getting the length right is not a comfort upgrade, it is part of the care. The knee break also lifts the heels clear of the fixed extension, which eases pressure at one of the highest-risk sites.

Read this before you order

The 12 in extension requires a mattress bolster, which is purchased separately. Without it there is a gap at the foot of the bed. You will also want the Icare Extra Long sheet set, which includes a dedicated 12 in fitted sheet for the bolster. We will make sure all three are on the order.
