It stays pliant under maximum compression

Ordinary foam bottoms out under a bony prominence, which is exactly where damage starts. The ActiveFloat keeps giving where it is compressed hardest, and unlike traditional foams it does not lock out.

Shear reduction

Pressure is only half the problem. Shear, the dragging force when someone slides down a bed, is what tears tissue. This material moves with the skin rather than against it, and it adapts to adjustable beds as they profile.

It softens around warmer, inflamed areas

Blood flow gets supported where circulation is already compromised.
